Sink in and integrate—switch roles: The county general union organizes cadres to “spend a day as a worker” as part of its themed Party Day activity, which has now entered HJZD.

On June 24, just before the Party's birthday on July 1, in order to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, hone the work style of trade union officials, and strengthen the close bond between the trade union and industrial workers, Wang Zhongqiu, a member of the county CPPCC Party group and Party secretary of the county general trade union, together with Zuo Jingyu, executive vice chairman of the county general trade union, led all party members and cadres from the organ to Henan Valiant Braking System Corporation for a themed Party Day activity titled "Labor Builds Dreams—Craftsmanship Offers Gifts for July 1."
Stepping into the workshop, we felt the pulse of a manufacturing powerhouse. At the start of the event, union officials, led by Zhu Shuangwen, chairman of the enterprise’s union, toured HJZD’s modern production workshop. They closely observed the operation of precision equipment, intelligent production lines, and rigorous quality-control procedures, and listened to a briefing on the company’s journey of innovative development and the market prospects of its products. The workers’ focused expressions, superb skills, and relentless pursuit of excellence in every single process vividly demonstrated how industrial workers in the new era are integrating their personal dreams into the nation’s development—a testament to their hardworking spirit. This deeply conveyed to everyone the tremendous power of “craftsmanship” underpinning “manufacturing,” offering a heartfelt tribute from the grassroots level to the upcoming “July 1st.”
Changing into work uniforms and taking up their posts, the Party members and cadres deeply experienced how labor creates value. After the tour, they quickly went down to the frontline production teams to engage in a hands-on “one-day worker” experience. Under the careful guidance of veteran workers, everyone was divided into groups and participated in specific tasks such as product assembly and packaging. From initial awkwardness and confusion to gradually mastering the skills, sweat soaked their work uniforms, and the aching muscles vividly conveyed the real intensity of manual labor. This firsthand experience enabled them to profoundly appreciate the hardship and greatness of ordinary jobs, filling them with deep respect for the frontline workers’ unwavering dedication and their steadfast belief in “forging dreams with their own hands.”
Engage in dialogue with role models and forge a shared commitment to our original aspirations for striving forward. At the symposium held after the practical activities, we specially invited model workers and artisan representatives from Henan Valiant Braking System Corporation. The model workers and artisans shared their personal stories of growth—stories of dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to their posts, diligently studying their fields, boldly innovating, and willingly making sacrifices—and offered profound insights into their journeys of struggle. Through these vivid accounts, they eloquently illustrated the true meaning of "labor builds dreams" and showcased the spirit of workers in the new era who pay tribute to the Party with concrete actions. Party member representatives from the county federation of trade unions who participated in the experience actively spoke and exchanged ideas, drawing on their own practical experiences. Everyone expressed that through “spending a day as a worker,” they had gained a deep understanding that trade union work must be firmly rooted in the grassroots and serve workers. They were deeply moved and inspired by the inspiring stories of model workers and advanced individuals, which represent a precious spiritual treasure. Moreover, participants exchanged their insights, reflections, and suggestions on topics such as how to better safeguard workers’ legitimate rights and interests, build platforms for skill enhancement, promote the spirit of craftsmanship, and support enterprise development.
This event closely aligned with the themes of our times and innovated in its approach, strengthening the Party spirit and moral cultivation of union officials in government agencies through immersive experiences and candid, in-depth exchanges. It deepened their understanding of the Party’s original aspirations, mission, and the mass line, and inspired a sense of intrinsic motivation to make contributions from their respective positions. By honing a rigorous and pragmatic work style, union officials have further broken away from “bureaucratic tendencies,” deepened their genuine connections with workers and the masses, and enhanced their sense and capability of service. By promoting the “three spirits”—the exemplary power of model workers and skilled artisans, as well as their firsthand labor experiences—ideals of valuing labor and respecting craftsmen have taken root deeply in people’s hearts.
Next, the county trade union will take this event as a new starting point and continue to encourage Party members and cadres to regularly go deep into the grassroots level. The spiritual nourishment and research findings gained from this activity will be effectively translated into powerful driving forces for fulfilling duties, serving workers, and promoting development. We will unite and lead the broad masses of workers and employees, with an energetic spirit of struggle and outstanding labor achievements, to contribute to Queshan’s high-quality development and, through concrete actions, present our heartfelt tribute to the Party on its birthday!
